Long session, only fish barbel 10lb 14 @ 20:35 at least it was good one

Again left early...about 21:15, very quiet

Drawn to the *** swim...

Couldn't fish mid-river due to weed, nothing under the tree and nothing to livebait

moved above the ******, steady

barbel @ 17:55 (9lb 11oz), 18:50, 19:10 & 19:55

Very wet, left at 20:30

All fish came close in, nothing near the ***** in the middle

Plenty rolling...worth the walk

Sat down...10 secs later...1st fish barbel 8lb 10oz @ 19:00

did find a couple of snags and not easy to land 'em...jurys still out on this swim

Tried 2 new swims below the ******, didnt feel comfortable in either

1st one could be good later on...just didnt like the ants

livebaits on both rods 'til 6ish, just a small pike and a small perch

Archie popped down, so I stayed and showed him how to catch bream...

1 barbel 8lbs @ 18:15 and a few bream

Above the ******, fished the inside but could hold further out when I tried...only wished I'd tried earlier

3 barbel, all 6-7lbers @ 18:15, 20:35 and 21:55

7 (seven) bream

2 barbel, 7lber @ 17:10 and 12lb 0oz @ 20:55...but think its the same fish as previous night

took another bad photo of it...

*** swim again...but I didn't have much time lol

1st barbel @ 20:10, 6lber

2nd barbel @ 20:35, 12lb 4oz

only arrived at 19:40...left at 21:25...fishing at the right time is the way forwards

Back in the *** swim with my new net

gave it a good test, worked fine...

2 pike about 5 and 6lbs and a micropike

1 perch about 2lbs, 1 bream and 1 roach

9lb 15oz barbel...@ 21:30

Another daytime session, river has colour and depth

started in the ******** swim, no bites in 2 hours fishing close in

moved 2 up from the ******, 1 barbel @ 15:25

also lost something that went straight out then sprinted straight in...carp or a crazy chub?

Fished the *** swim on advice that it was fishing well...maybe he meant the next 1 along?

4 bream and lost possibly a barbel but dont think it was a big one

again another swim for later on in the season, good access and comfortable

didnt seem to be affected by the rain much but then I'd never fished it before

Back to the old faithful swim

Plan is to catch the Derwent right and hit the Trent tues following Saturday rain

River coloured and a good level

2 barbel 19:50 & 21:20 (6lbs and smaller)

1 chub and a bream in the margins

The original Trent banker swim, very low and clear though

1 barbel (5-6lbs again) 21:05 (again)

Lost 1 in the bush again, stupid chub

Long day, should have fished for perch 1st

1 barbel @ 21:05 (5-6lbs) and a chub and a chublet

Short session 1st swim above the ******

2 barbel 20:35 and 20:50

1st 1 put up a good scrap...for a 6lber lol

also a bream a chub and a eel

good swim, didnt find any snags but pedestrians could be a problem...

Another daytime session, tried the swim 2 up from the ******

felt good, no snags, no weed problems but no fish (2 hours there)

not great for close in perching due to reeds etc

moved to the ******** swim, took an hour to catch a livebait suitable...then nothing took it

1 barbel close in, 10lb 8oz @ 16:30

need a longer landing net handle for the ****** swims
