had a look at the Dove 2nd entrance at ******** but low, clear, no streamer weed etc etc etc

Wanted to actually catch some fish so 2 above the ******

Started on the Derwent but too many cows and not enough swims, did find a good looking one on the way back though

Tried 3 swims in the end but gave up and moved to ******...

6 bream, even weighed one at 7lb 7oz!

****** swim, used baitdropper but didn't make a lot of difference

3 bream, 2 barbel (21:00 pinhead and 21:40 8lb 8oz) and a chub

At 10pm found George and accomplice camped in my *** swim with a 12lb barbel....

1 1/2 casts...10 mins, 1 barbel @ 18:35 about 7lbs OTM, packed up

decided to be clever and move behind ******** and fish for zander...

Blanked...

Perch fishing steady but unspectacular, 4 to about 1 3/4lbs and a small jack to livebaits

Not a touch on barbel line/s

Dissapointing opening day, started off where I ended up 1st day last year

2 chub and a chublet, no sign of perch

I'l start somewhere else next year...

Started off at ********** - 05:00 'til 08:00...not a bad time to fish actually

well only caught 1 fish though 9 1/2lb pike

Back later on in the day further downstream

Caught that fish again...12lb 2oz @ 16:45

Also a bream and a very large looking bream fell off...oh well

Forgot isoltopes, finding snags and windy so moved to ***********

1 small bream...shouldnt have bothered

Bit of an anti-climax...A few bream and a 5lb 1oz chub

Lost 3 fish but probably not barbel

Dabbled for Zs but again nothing

2 rods out for zander...a head on one and tail on the other

not a touch, nor for the zander angler on the next peg either

pre-baited for following night

After a brief spell at *********...but losing 3 feeders in 4 casts was enough for me...

James got his 'double' 11lb 10oz @ 18:50, I'm sure he won't mind me putting it on here...

I got a 9lb 15oz LOL @ 20:30

A few bream also made an appearance

Crazy day....bream from the 'off', about 12 or 13 of 'em through the session

Did try a worm under the bush for perch until dark with no action

Swapped at the right time, 11lb 11oz barbel @ 17:55

3 chubs to 5lb 3oz
