My name is Matt Kemp, I hope you enjoy reading my fishing diary. Just some short accounts of fishing on my local rivers (usually the Derbyshire Derwent or the Trent). I try to keep this diary updated as often as possible, and I do go fishing quite often. If its not been updated it probably means I've not been fishing.

clown time, must learn how to fish
Trout & carp pellet mix didn't seem to put them off
Lost 2 before small barbel @ 20:20
Also 2 bream, a chub and a silver bream

Struggled...well 4 chub and a bream
Snagged twice, good excuse not to fish that one for a while

5 or 6 perch to minnows, mainly very small though
Chris had a 15lb pike, then it all went very quiet
9lb barbel for me @ 19:35, plenty of knocks

Lost 2, one was definately a good fish as probably was the other...

Quite slow...but better than ********

3 bream and 3 barbel 16:15, 18:05 (9lb 6oz) and 18:40
Some very deep spots and some not so deep, need to cast about and explore
River was rising fast, did become a bit boiley later on
